Maui Coffee Festival Brewing at Shops at Wailea
By Maui Now Staff
The Grown on Maui Coffee Festival will be hosted by the Maui Coffee Association at The Shops at Wailea on Saturday, Jan. 17, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the fountain courtyard.
This year’s theme is “Meet the Coffee Farmers – Life on a Maui Coffee Farm.”
The event is free of charge and open to the public, including those who want to learn how to grow their own coffee.
Local Maui farmers will share samples of their homegrown brews, and information about what makes their roasts unique. The event will also include roasting demonstrations.
Music will be provided by Ainoa and other Hawaiian entertainers throughout the day.
The Maui Coffee Association is a group of coffee growers, service providers, merchants, and people interested in promoting the growth and enjoyment of coffee grown in Maui County. Founded in 2005, the membership has grown from just a few farms to 32, including over 100 members.
