Seabury Hall Performing Arts Presents Twelfth Night
Seabury Hall Performing Arts will present Twelfth Night, a comedy by William Shakespeare, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13, 14, 20 and 21, at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. in Seabury’s A‘ali‘ikūhonua Creative Arts Center above Makawao.
Everyone’s in love with someone in Twelfth Night. Director Todd Van Amburgh’s modern-dress production sets the play in the 1960s for maximum color and style, and trims the play for maximum speed.
When a shipwrecked Viola finds herself lost in Illyria, she dresses as a man to help Duke Orsino win the love of Olivia. Olivia’s household is run by the strict Malvolio who gets punked by Sir Toby Belch and his motley crew. Meanwhile, VIola’s twin brother Sebastian and friend Antonia hide from the Duke’s beautiful people.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and 45 for students, available online.
