Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be about chest/head high today in the morning. Waist/shoulder high by the afternoon.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today for west shores without exposure to the swells. Exposures catching the swell will get up to waist/chest high early in the day.
South: Surf is thigh/chest high today at the best breaks on the sets and trending down.
Mid period northerly swell is expected to peak early Tuesday. Minor northwest swell expected to build late Tuesday and peak Wednesday before fading Thursday.
Our current south-southwest swell is expected to fade this week. Only minor pulses detected further out. Wednesday and Thursday waist high southerly mix expected.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
