Three’s Bar & Grill in Kīhei has presented a donation of more than $1,100 to Maui Humane Society, thanks to the restaurant’s Kama‘āina Giveback Program. Maui Humane Society was May’s recipient of the program, which donates 10% of kama‘āina sales for the month, while giving customers a 10% discount to thank them for supporting local causes.

“With more than around 1,900 homeless pets adopted and given a second chance last year, we are very proud to support Maui Humane Society,” says Travis Morrin, chef/co-owner at Three’s Bar & Grill. “We hope our customers feel proud too, since they played a crucial role in May’s donation as part of our Kama‘āina Giveback Program.”

Maui Humane Society is the island’s only open-admission shelter, serving the Maui community for more than 60 years.

Three’s donation totaled $1,100.19 in May. The program’s recipient for June is Maui Science Center, a nonprofit with a mission to become a unique interactive destination, where families and school groups can explore science through hands-on educational and entertaining experiences.  The center’s goal is to open its initial location in 2016-2017, and you can learn more here.
