Jurassic Tour to Land on Maui
The Jurassic Tour comes to the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center this weekend. The event simulates what it would be like to experience the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods first hand.
The main exhibit features life-size realistic animatronic dinosaurs, over 40 life-like dinosaurs in all, with rides and skeletal displays.
Tickets are $39 for kids between the ages of 2 and 12; and $29 for individuals ages 13 and up. Tickets are valid for all day access. * (If available, there is an additional cost for face painting.) Tickets are available at the door or online.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11th; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018.
As part of the exhibit, “Tracey,” a young T-Rex, greets guests at 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and can be found walking and playing around the exhibit during those times.
Children can look at creatures in the exhibit, learn about them and even ride a few. It features realistic scenes, enormous dinosaurs, baby dinosaurs, a Dinosaur band and a variety of activities for children of all ages.
There’s also a fossil dig where young paleontologists can dig up ancient bones, a “Dino Bounce” area with dinosaur theme inflatable bounce houses and more.
