Senator Lynn DeCoite is urging residents of Molokaʻi to take proper precautions against COVID-19 amid increased case counts on the island.

April 22, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 101 Cases (76 O‘ahu, 9 Maui, 9 Hawai‘i Island, 2 Kaua‘i, 5 Out-of-State); 2 Deaths

There are 18 COVID-19 clusters identified in Maui County, according to an updated report issued on Thursday, April 22, 2021. This includes: 11 in the travel/lodging/tourism sector, five at educational settings, one at a food supplier, and one at a restaurant.

April 18, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 111 Cases (93 O‘ahu, 6 Maui, 10 Hawai‘i Island, 2 Out-of-State)

The state Department of Health reports that there were 111 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Sunday, including 93 on O‘ahu, six on Maui, 10 on Hawai‘i Island, and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state. There were a total of 1,206 cases logged over the past two weeks, 282 of them in Maui County.

First COVID-19 Case Confirmed for Kalaupapa Settlement in Kalawao County on Moloka‘i

The Hawai‘i Department of Health is reporting the first positive case of COVID-19 in an adult resident of Kalaupapa Settlement in Kalawao County on the island of Moloka‘i.

There were 144 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Thursday, including 118 on O‘ahu, 14 on Maui, seven on Hawaiʻi Island, two on Kauaʻi and three in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui count today included cases in Kahului, Kīhei and Lahaina.

Dec. 2, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 78 New Cases (63 O‘ahu, 4 Maui, 1 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Kaua‘i, 9 Out-of-State)

There were 78 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Wednesday, including 63 on O‘ahu, four on Maui, one each on Hawaiʻi Island and Kauaʻi and nine in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui count today included cases in Lahaina and Kula. Both Kīhei and Lahaina have a medium range of infections with 41 cases reported in Kīhei in the last 14 days, and 23 cases in Lahaina reported over the same period.

Dec. 1, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 44 New Cases (32 O‘ahu, 5 Maui, 6 Hawai‘i Island)

There were 44 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Tuesday, including 32 on O‘ahu, five on Maui and six on Hawai‘i Island. Maui count today included cases in Kīhei, Lahaina and Makawao. Kīhei darkened to the medium range two weeks ago with 41 cases reported there in the last 14 days.  Lahaina is also in the medium range with 19 cases reported over the same period.

Nov. 30, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 85 New Cases (66 O‘ahu, 9 Maui, 4 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Moloka‘i, 1 Kaua‘i, 4 Out-of-State)

There were 85 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Monday, including 66 on O‘ahu, nine on Maui, four on Hawai‘i Island, one each on Moloka‘i and Kaua‘i, and four in residents diagnosed outside of the state. Maui cases included five in Lahaina, three in Kīhei and one each in Kahului and on the island of Molokaʻi. Kīhei darkened to the medium range two weeks ago with 37 cases reported there in the last 14 days.  Lahaina is also in the medium range with 19 cases reported over the same period.

Moloka‘i Drive-Through Food Distribution, Nov. 25

Volunteers will distribute 150 boxes of produce on a first-come, first-served basis. Recipients are required to wear face masks.
