CPB Foundation, Ace Hardware distribute essential supplies to Maui wildfire survivors
Central Pacific Bank Foundation and Ace Hardware are joining forces to distribute much needed disaster relief and essential cleaning supplies to West Maui residents affected by the Maui wildfires. A distribution will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (while supplies last) in front of the Ace Hardware location at the Lahaina Gateway Center.
Food distribution at Lahaina Gateway will move to new site in Kahana later this week
The food and supply distribution site at the Lahaina Gateway Center continued service today (Sept. 4) and will operate on Wednesday, Sept. 6, with a reduced selection and quantity of items in preparation for a move to Kahana Gateway later this week.
Inside West Maui: Friends pitch in for makeshift pit stop
A tight knit group of friends pulled resources together to stand up a makeshift pit stop at the Lahaina Post Office, providing gas, ice and other necessities to residents in need.
“Our kupuna can grieve for us right now, but for all the young people that can help, help,” said Kihei, a Lahaina resident who lost his home in the West Maui wildfire.
