Avid patrons of Chef Alan Wong’s cuisine can exhale a happy sigh, as he will soon open a restaurant at the Grand Wailea Resort in early 2012. As the Grand says goodbye to restaurant “Kincha,” they welcome Wong’s menu items, tasty creations, and pacific style cuisine to their clientele.

This will be Wong’s third restaurant in Hawai’i, and the only locale on Maui. Wong’s two other locations are on O’ahu. Those that may know of “The Pineapple Room,” and his signature restaurant, “Alan Wong’s,” on King Street, have already sampled and most likely delighted in his renditions of cultural dishes and preparations with a twist, or three.

His menu is fresh and dish presentation is exacting. Wong takes the best of local ingredients and makes them into something even more spectacular.
