APEC Host Committee Seeks Vendor to Sell Activities to Delegates
With more than 20,000 attendees expected for the APEC 2011 Leader’s Meeting in November, the APEC 2011 Hawai‘i Host Committee has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a vendor to sell tours and activities to attendees.
“We want to make sure that the APEC delegates are able to experience our culture, attractions and activities,” said Peter Ho, Hawai‘i Host Committee Chair, in a statement this morning. “By offering quality programs to attendees and providing a high level of service in registering and delivering tours and activities, we will help position Hawai‘i as an ideal destination for large group travel.”
The RFP asks that the vendor be able to sell commercial and custom tours and activities for all islands; provide an online selling system and website; provide an electronic point-of-sale system which can capture reservations and generate manifests and accounting reports. The company must also be able to provide experienced staff for o-site tour and activity sales at up to 20 designated hotels.
Interested companies can get a copy of the RFP by emailing the APEC 2011 Hawai‘i Host Committee at [email protected]. Please indicate the RFP name, company name, contact name, contact phone and email.
Proposals are due on May 5 at 4 pm. Vendor selection is estimated to be announced on or around May 16.
The APEC 2011 Host Committee has also issuedRFPs recently for promotional materials, business and innovation success stories and graphic design services. Three improvement projects for the Honolulu International Airport in the amount of approximately $2 million have also been put out for competitive bid recently.
