Beer. It’s got great head, amazing mouth-feel, and comes in all kinds of flavors and viscosities. With 28 brews on tap, the 3rd Annual Maui Brew Fest at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on May 14, will be an utterly delicious evening.
Breweries from Hawai’i and beyond will be sampling their tasty ales, lagers, ports and stouts from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Just a few of the many passionate brewers participating on Saturday will be: Maui Brew Co., Rogue, Kona Brewing Company, Waimea Brewing and Widmer, Hawai’i Nui Brewing, Big Island Brewhaus, Blue Moon, Primo, Sierra Nevada, Deschutes Brewery, Pyramid, Shocktop, Caldera Brewing Co., and more.
With hoppy libation swirling, attendees will need some ‘ono grinds to go with the evening’s libation. Enjoy the food from: 808 Bistro, Alexander’s Fish, Aloha Events Catering, Cake Bakery, Famous Dave’s, Flatbread & Company, Food for the Soul, Fred’s Mexican Cafe, Maui Brewing Co. Brew Pub, Maui Catering Company, Maui Culinary Academy, Maui Tacos, Whole Foods, Who Cut the Cheese and Wow-Wee Maui’s Grill. Don’t forget to swing by Zia Maria’s Gelato, for something cool and sweet.
While tastebuds and tummies get their fill, aural stimulation won’t be left lagging. The brew fest’s entertainment lineup includes Kanekoa with Vince Esquire from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Anuhea from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $45 for each individual 21 and over, for general admission at 3:00 p.m. and includes, eight 4-ounce pours of beer, a commemorative beer glass, unlimited appetizers and desserts, and event parking. For $75, enjoy a special happy hour that begins at 2:00 p.m. and hobnob with brewmasters for private beer sampling and a “special amenity.” Day of the event ticket prices will be $55 for general and $85 for the happy hour package.
