Maui Paradise Tours Launches “Upcountry Uncorked”
Maui Paradise Tours has announced the launch of “Upcountry Uncorked,” a new tour that adventures through Maui’s Upcountry region and includes a tasting at Maui’s only winery.
The guided tour will take passengers through Upcountry Maui which is known for its aromatic gardens, lush landscape and ocean views.
“Our mission is to offer tours that allow guests to really immerse themselves in the culture and beauty of Maui,” says David Litman, co-owner of Maui Paradise Tours.
“Upcountry Uncorked” was designed to give guests an in-depth look into the history of Maui’s Upcountry towns as well as offer a feast for the senses.
“We carefully design our guided tours so our guests receive unique experiences that create lasting memories,” explains Kaliya Mayell, co-owner of Maui Paradise Tours.
The tour begins in Makawao where unique boutiques, art galleries and restaurants delight visitors and residents alike.
Next on the tour is a visit to Maui Native Nursery, a native Hawaiian plant and beehive farm.
Guests will learn about endemic plants and flowers as a guide shares how Hawaiians use plants and flowers for medicinal and ceremonial purposes.
Each guest will also sample raw Maui honey and learn of the important role bees have in our ecosystem.
The next stop will be at MauiWine for a tasting of handcrafted wines, including specialty reserve wines only available at the winery.
As guests enjoy wine they can catch a glimpse of history and learn the wine-making process.
For lunch, guests enjoy a sit down, picnic style culinary adventure at ‘Ulupalakua Ranch Store & Grill.
Guests can select from a menu of Maui grass-fed beef, lamb and elk raised on the southwestern slopes of the Haleakalā Volcano.
Salads and vegetarian options are also available.
After lunch, participants are taken to Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm where they’re treated to an aromatic adventure 4,000 feet above sea level.
Over 40 different varieties of lavender are grown on the 13.5-acre farm located on the slopes of Haleakalā.
Tour participants can partake in a scavenger hunt through the gardens and shop from a variety of lavender inspired products and refreshments.
A special gift will be given to all Maui Paradise Tour passengers as a memory of their time spent on Maui as well as discounts at select locations.
“Upcountry Uncorked” tours will start in late December.
