Maui, Moloka‘i Lane Closures, Jan 26 – Feb 1
The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork at various locations throughout Maui this week, resulting in lane closures and alternating lane closures through Friday, Feb. 1, 2019.
In East Maui, there is an alternating lane closure on the Hāna Highway this week near Mile 7 in Keʻanae and Mile 16, due to steel reinforcement installations and slope excavation. Traffic will be contraflowed. Work runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
In West Maui, there is a nighttime lane closure on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between Kapunakea Street and Keawe Street from Monday night, Jan. 28, through Friday morning, Feb. 1, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work is for traffic loop installations. One lane will remain open in both directions. Closures will also occur on Keawe Street between Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) and Kupuohi Street.
And on Molokaʻi, there is an alternating lane closure on Kalae Highway in both directions between Kalaupapa Lookout and Mauna Loa Highway through Friday, Feb. 1, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for striping and sign installations.
