Produce Distribution for Lānaʻi on Wednesday, April 29

Mayor Michael Victorino announced that a third produce distribution will take place on Wednesday, April 29, to provide produce to people impacted by COVID-19 on Lānaʻi.

Distribution for seniors will take place starting at 11 a.m. at the Lānaʻi Senior Center, entering from Gay Street.

Bags of produce will also be delivered to Lānaʻi kupuna through the Meals on Wheels program.

Produce distribution for the general public will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the County parking lot located between the County gym and school cafeteria.

Bags will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

“Mahalo to Councilmember Riki Hokama, Denise Fernandez from the Lānaʻi County Council District Office, Dave Embry and the farmers on Lānaʻi, and Kris Kahihikolo from the Lānaʻi Senior Center, for helping with these distribution events,” Mayor Victorino said. “Thank you also to the Department of Parks and Recreation and Police Department for their continued assistance.”

Over 4,000 bags of food and produce have been handed out to residents in distribution events across Maui County.
