Lānaʻi warehouse fire results in extensive damage to laundry facility

A warehouse fire on Lānaʻi caused $450,000 in damage to a structure located at 1311 Fraser Ave. in Lānaʻi City early Tuesday morning. Insurance estimates put damages at $6 million to $8 million in damage to the business, which was being utilized as a laundry facility.

The incident was reported at 3:53 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2024.

Fire crews on scene confirmed that everyone was out of the building and firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.

The fire was extinguished before 9:50 a.m., according to department reports.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Responding units included: Engine 8, Tanker 8 and a fire investigator.
