Pacific Whale Foundation “Welcomes Home the Whales” with Ecotours
The Pacific Whale Foundation celebrates the return of the humpback whale population to Hawaiian waters with its annual “Welcome Home the Whales” ecotours. The nonprofit organization is offering special celebration rates on Eco-Adventures for Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, with trips scheduled to depart from Māʻalaea Harbor and Lahaina Harbor at 9 and 11:30 a.m.
Each year, the PWF honors the return of the humpback whales to Maui with the two-hour ecotours led by members of their research team, who offer special insights and interpretations of whale biology and behavior.
“It’s an opportunity for us to share with our guests some of what we’ve learned about these majestic creatures over the past 35 plus years,” said Greg Kaufman, Pacific Whale Foundation Founder and Executive Director in a company press release. “We want everyone to be able to experience what we do on a daily basis.”
Pacific Whale Foundation members and kamaʻāina discounts are available. According to the PWF, whale sightings on the scheduled Nov. 28, 2015 ecotorus are guaranteed, or you get a free ticket to go again on another whalewatch. The cruise includes a free Jr. Naturalist Program for kids.
