Late Senator Daniel Akaka Honored on House Floor
US Representatives Tulsi Gabbard and Colleen Hanabusa today led a Special Order of speeches on the House floor honoring the late Senator Daniel K. Akaka.
Aloha Order of Merit to Induct Sen. Akaka
“I can think of no-one who exemplifies devotion to the people of Hawaii and embodies the aloha spirit more than Sen. Akaka,” said Gov. Abercrombie, who will join members of the state Legislature in hosting the ceremony in the House Chambers of the State Capitol.
