The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo continued its reign as one of the most ethnically diverse campuses in the US and is among UH’s four-year campuses featured in U.S. News and World Report’s 2022 Best Colleges rankings.

UH Campuses Earn Ranking in U.S. News and World Report
UH Hilo was named as the nation’s most ethnically diverse campus. UH West Oʻahu ranked No. 3 among top U.S. public schools in the West and No. 16 among best regional colleges in the West. In addition, UH West Oʻahu is the No. 7 best college for veterans and No. 23 in top performers for social mobility.

UH Extends Application Deadlines
The University of Hawaiʻi is extending the deadline to apply for admissions to UH Mānoa, UH Hilo, and UH West Oʻahu to Aug. 1, 2020, the same deadline as the seven UH community colleges.

UH Board of Regents Approve Tuition Reduction
Today, the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents approved UH President David Lassner’s proposal to reduce tuition increases for resident undergraduate students for both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 academic years.

MCC Adds 769 Students, Enrollment up 24 Percent
Maui Community College registered 4,078 students, a gain of 769 or 23.2 percent.  MCC reported the greatest enrollment increase behind Windward Community College where enrollment increased 24.3 percent. The fall 2009 opening enrollment for the University of Hawaii System reached an unprecedented 58,157, the highest in the institution’s history.  It surpasses fall 2008’s record enrollment of 53,5 09 by 8.7 percent.  For the second year in a row, UH’s fall opening enrollment has experienced an increase after remaining at 50,000 for five years.
