The Biden administration today announced $3.5 billion for 58 projects across 44 states to strengthen electric grid resilience and reliability. Photographers launch Maui Memories Project to help

The goal is to help as many families as possible rebuild their photo collections and create some smiles, laughter and normalcy after tragedy.  The project currently has six photographers signed up to provide services, with more joining each day.

Renters can apply for FEMA assistance

FEMA Individual Assistance is available to renters, including students, as well as homeowners. Federal grants can help pay for temporary housing. The initial rental grant is for a one-month or two-month period and can be reviewed for additional assistance. 

FEMA launches web page to dispel myths, address rumors, answer questions related to Hawaiʻi wildfires

FEMA recently launched a rumor control and frequently asked questions web page to keep survivors of the Hawaii wildfires aware of rumors and scams, and to help them better understand the federal disaster assistance programs and processes.

3 Wildfire-Prone Regions of Maui Nui Covered in New Plan

Three new Community Wildfire Protection Plans for Maui County will be signed. The plans cover Upcountry Maui, South Maui, and all of Molokaʻi.
