The 16th MauiAgFest & 4-H Livestock Fair takes place today at the War Memorial Special Events Field. As crews set up tents, booths and tables, a special route has been planned to ease entry and exit from the War Memorial site. Organizers have also released a full lineup of entertainment for the day.

The Department of Hawaiian Homes Lands will lead a public rally on Tuesday, March 25, to honor Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, recognize legislative efforts aimed at decreasing DHHL’s waitlist, and promote support for proposed legislation.

The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College will host an Open House Fair on Friday, April 26 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on the Kahului campus Great Lawn and Pā‘ina Building dining area.

Under a memorandum of agreement executed this month, Hawaiian Lending & Investments will administer Department of Hawaiian Home Lands matching down payment assistance grants of up to $5,000 to eligible DHHL beneficiaries toward the cost to build or purchase a home on Hawaiian Home Lands.  

Radio and TV personality Kathy Collins is hosting Akakū Maui Community Media’s free 2024 Community Connection Day, with live entertainment from Homestead, on Jan. 12 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a return to Maui of the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) with six feature films, a program of six short films, and a showcase of four documentaries. All screenings will take place in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater starting Friday, Oct. 27 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 29.

Maui Sunday Market announces their 1st Anniversary Celebration will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Kahului Shopping Center.

Hawaiian homeland leaders were asked to identify two sites per island where they could build kauhale, or transitional group homes and affordable rentals.

Organizers of the 28th annual Prince Kūhiō Day Celebration in Paukūkalo, are seeking craft and food vendors for the upcoming event on April 1, 2017.

A community celebration will be held on June 19 at the Kēōkea Marketplace with proceeds to benefit Tommy Baclig who lost his home to an accidental fire on May 24.

The event is from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday Feb. 21 at the Paukūkalo Community Center.

The Maui Historical Society hosts its 14th annual fundraiser, “E Pūlama Mau iā Maui,” “Cherish Maui’s History,” scheduled to take place this Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015 at the grounds of the Bailey House Museum.
