Jan. 27, 2022 COVID-19 update: 2,380 new cases in Hawaiʻi, 10 deaths

The state Department of Health is reporting a COVID-19 count of 2,380 new cases today, including 337 on Maui. There are also 10 new COVID-19 deaths reported today.

Maui COVID-19 hospitalizations surpass delta surge, staff is “busy but nimble”

“MMMC’s census is very busy at over 95% capacity with COVID and non-COVID patient care needs,” said Maui Health spokesperson Tracy Dallarda. “However, the hospital is not at an ‘internal emergency’ status as other hospitals around the state have declared…”

Jan. 14, 2022 COVID-19 update: 3,099 new cases in Hawaiʻi, 3 deaths; 36 Maui hospitalizations

There are now 36 people hospitalized in Maui County with COVID-19, according to counts last updated at 9 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2022, from Maui Health. Thatʻs up from 28 reported yesterday morning, and 26 reported on Thursday afternoon.
