Negotiations begin with new developer of Lānaʻi Solar project
The project will be situated on 73 acres of land owned by Pūlama Lāna‘i, adjacent to Hawaiian Electric’s Miki Basin facilities along Miki Road and is expected to come online in late 2024.
UPDATE: Investigation Begins into Deadly Lānaʻi Plane Crash
County officials have since confirmed that the pilot and two Department of Planning employees suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Two other planning employees were in critical condition and a deputy attorney for Corporation Counsel was in serious condition.
