The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority’s Meagan De Gaia will speak about the HTA’s Maui Destination Management Action Plan at the upcoming meeting of the Rotary Club of Kīhei-Wailea on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025. De Gaia, the HTA’s Destination Manager for Maui and Lānaʻi, will speak about the Maui DMAP and ask for community input.

Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority announces cohorts to develop Community Stewardship and Regenerative Experience Programs

Gov. Green signs regenerative tourism bill Into law

Senate Bill 2659, introduced by Senators Jarrett Keohokalole and Les Ihara, Jr. and championed by the Native Hawaiian Caucus in both chambers of the Legislature, incorporates a regenerative framework into the Hawaiʻi State Planning Act and the state’s Tourism Functional Plan – documents that guide the operation of state and county agencies – by expanding objectives and policies for the visitor industry.

NaHHA receives funding to provide tourism workforce training based in Hawaiian culture
