Vandalism has reportedly altered one of the main county tennis courts in Wailuku. According to county officials, the upper tennis court at the War Memorial Complex was painted to accommodate pickleball use and a bracket was installed into a wood panel of the facility fence for shade.

Two tennis teams from Maui are heading to the 40-and-over 4.5+ level national championships in Alabama after winning state sectional championships.

The 36th annual Kapalua Open Tennis Championships will be held at the award-winning Kapalua Tennis Garden from Sept. 2-4, 2017.

Day 3 of the SportMaster Tennis Championships of Maui: the tournament continues through Jan. 29, 2017 in Lahaina with total prize winnings of $75,000.

The US and Germany will compete in the 2017 Fed Cup at Maui’s Royal Lahaina Resort on Feb. 11 and 12, 2017.

The 3.5-level Maui Magic 18-and-over women’s USTA team crushed the statewide competition and is soon heading to the national competition in Alabama.

Maui Jim sunglasses has partnered with the Association of Tennis Professionals men’s tennis circuit, supplying official eyewear for the ATP World Tour. The three-year agreement also provides Maui Jim eyewear for the season finale Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The Wells Tennis Courts, numbers 4-6, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on June 13. All War Memorial Tennis Courts will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on June 14.

Tennis enthusiasts have a new place to play upcountry.  The County of Maui held a blessing Tuesday after completing $2.5 million worth of infrastructure improvements at the Kula Community Center.
