After nearly three decades of helping to shape Wailea as the esteemed destination it is now, Maynard Torchiana, executive vice president and managing director of Destination Residences Hawai‘i, part of Destination Hotels, will retire at the end of the year.

Five Maui County seniors were awarded $22,000 in scholarships by the Wailea Community Association at a reception held in their honor at Tommy Bahamas Restaurant in The Shops at Wailea.
