Update/complete: Water service outage to impact part of Wailuku overnight
The night repair near 1774 Lower Main St. in Wailuku, originally scheduled to begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2026, was completed earlier today, Jan. 8, 2026. No overnight water service outage or road closure will occur.
County DWS lifts Stage 1 Water Shortage for Central and South Maui
Following recent rainfall and ongoing community water conservation, the County of Maui Department of Water Supply is suspending the Stage 1 Central and South Maui water shortage, effective immediately and until further notice.
Water service outage in Wailuku, Fri. Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. to Sat. Nov 23 at 5 a.m.
Night operations and a water service outage are scheduled in Wailuku beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 through 5 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. Work will start at the intersection of Central Avenue and Nani Street, and continue to Mahalani Street, including Lunalilo and Liholiho streets.
Water Service Outage in Wailuku, July 25-26
Night operations are scheduled for Tuesday, July 25 at 9 p.m. until Wednesday, July 26, 5 a.m. in Wailuku. The operation will affect all homes in the Kehalani Koa Subdivision, The Villas at Kehalani, and La’ikeha at Kehalani, Wailuku.
Wailuku water service outage
The Maui Department of Water Supply reports that a water service outage will occur on June 1, 2023 from 10 p.m. to June 2, 2023 at 7 a.m. in Wailuku. All water services will be affected in the vicinity of the intersection of Waiʻale Road and Kuikahi Drive.

Water service outage to affect 80-100 Wailuku customers
A road closure and water service outage beginning Monday night, April 10 will affect 80 to 100 customers in an area near South High Street in Wailuku while work is done to replace a defective fire line.
Water service interruption on part of Lower Main Street, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 27
Replacement of a broken 6-inch valve on Lower Main Street will result in a water service interruption for about 75 homes and 15 businesses from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Department of Water Supply announced.
Water main valve and other work in Wailuku, Feb. 26-27
The Department of Water Supply will replace 6- and 12-inch water main valves and cut and plug an existing 6-inch valve on Mill Street between Central Avenue and Mission Street in Wailuku. Work will be done from 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27.

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply has canceled water cutbacks for customers on its Wailuku-Kahului-Pāʻia system.
Water Shut-Down in Parts of Wailuku on Tuesday, April 14
A portion of homes and businesses in the Wailuku area will have their water shut off from approximately 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shut-down will affect all water services off of Church Street from Main Street to Vineyard Street. DWS customers along Church Street are encouraged to store water and adjust schedules as appropriate.
40 Customers in Wailuku Without Water After Line Break
About 40 residential customers in Wailuku are without water service because of a broken waterline reported this morning. Affected customers include those on Liholiho Street between Lunalilo and Lihi streets.

High Street Partly Closed due to Waterline Repair
Department of Water Supply personnel are working on a leaking service lateral today in Wailuku and will close High Street from the Wells Street intersection to the Kaohu Street intersection from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today.
