During the meeting, proponent Mac Poepoe will explain the proposal on behalf of the group Hui Mālama o Moʻomomi.

Officials with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources will host the meeting.  The department notes that the proposal represents the combined efforts of Hui Mālama o Moʻomomi, ʻAha Kiole o Molokaʻi, and Pālāʻau Moku residents.

Public input will also be accepted, with the meeting set to take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, at the Mitchell Pauʻole Community Center in Kaunakakai.
