Alaska Airlines today launched its second Hawaii market from San Diego with a new daily nonstop flight to Honolulu, on the island of Oahu.

Starting in April of next year, Alaska Airlines will be launching a new daily nonstop service between Honolulu and Oakland and Honolulu and San Jose, California.

Maui businesses can expect a bump in spring tourism numbers from West Coast cities and Alaska as a result of low fares being offered today at Alaska Airlines.

Alaska Airlines recently announced expanding service from the Bay Area to Hawaii, with daily flights between both Oakland and San Jose, Calif., and Kahului, starting Hawaii June 5, 2011.
