DOT to Discuss Transportation Plan June 29 on Maui

Officials from the state Department of Transportation will be on Maui later this month to discuss a draft transportation plan.
The DOT is sponsoring the series of meetings statewide to review the draft plan on coordinated services for senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and low-income residents.
Participants will be asked to review and comment on the needs and strategies identified in the plan. The DOT will utilize the public’s feedback to assist in the prioritization of projects for funding.
The Maui meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Kahului at the Maui Beach Hotel, Elleair Rainbow Room.
Other meeting scheduled across the state include:
- Hilo: Monday, June 27, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Hawaii County Office of Aging (1055 Kinoole Street, Hilo, HI 96720)
- Kona: Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the West Hawaii Civic Center, Liquor Control Conference Room, Building B, 2nd Floor (74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740)
- Kauai: Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lihue Civic Center, Moikeha Building, Meeting Rooms 2 A&B (4444 Rice Street, Lihue, HI 96766)
