Rainbow Warriors take off onboard Hawaiian Airlines charter flight for season opener at Stanford

The University of Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warriors today departed Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport onboard a dedicated Hawaiian Airlines charter flight to San Jose, Calif., ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Stanford. 

Aloha Council invites adults to take on Maui Sportsman’s Challenge

Scouting America, Aloha Council is inviting outdoor enthusiasts ages 18 and older to grab three friends and take on the 2026 Sportsman’s Challenge, a two-day fundraiser Sept. 26-27 at Camp Maluhia featuring 10 outdoor skill competitions. Four-person teams will choose either Saturday or Sunday to compete in a full day of friendly competition while supporting local Scouting programs.

Normal irrigation to resume at Waiehu Golf Course after pond liner project completed at end of August

The County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation is progressing with a project to replace the irrigation pond liner at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course. The project, which began May 18, will mitigate water loss caused by deterioration of the existing liner and is essential to maintaining long-term course irrigation.
