Maui United Way aims to tee up community support at its upcoming Golf Tournament set for Saturday, May 2. All proceeds from the tournament will support Maui United Way’s programs including disaster recovery efforts, youth services, and community resilience programs.

Golfing areas will be adjusted from April 13-16, 2026, while Waiehu Municipal Golf Course greens are aerated, according to the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation. The work is weather permitting.

The inaugural season will culminate in the state championship, scheduled for May 1-2 at Hoʻokipa Beach Park on Maui’s north shore. A total of 174 student-athletes will qualify for the championship meet, representing the top surfers from across the islands.

More than 800 Maui fans were treated to a rare chance to see NCAA Division II women’s volleyball on Saturday at the Jon Garcia Gym on the Baldwin High School campus. The event was sponsored by Hawaiian Style Volleyball Club.

Mana O Maui is now accepting scholarship applications from girls between the ages of 13-17 to attend  an upcoming Teen Surf Camp, hosted by Maui Surfer Girls, from June 27 to July 3, 2026. Mana O Maui is a nonprofit organization launched in 2023  to provide empowerment programs through Hawaiian cultural education,  adventure education, surf therapy and the healing arts.

Hawaiian Style Volleyball Club will sponsor three spring NCAA Division II women’s volleyball matches at the Jon Garcia Gymnasium on the Baldwin High School campus on Saturday.

Zolten Poulsen paced Maui Prep to their third straight boy’s win, while Maui Christian won the girl’s title behind Lila Sloan at the third Maui Interscholastic League surf contest, Saturday at Kokī Beach in Hāna.

First Tee Hawaiʻi will host two Beginner/Intermediate Junior Golf Skills Clinics this April on Maui and Oʻahu, providing young golfers an opportunity to improve their technique, form, and understanding of golf fundamentals in an interactive, semi-private learning environment.

The Maui Nui Division of Scouting America, Aloha Council hosts its 5th Annual Maui Scouting Golf Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course. The event brings the community together to support Maui’s Scouting programs, helping provide local youth with opportunities for leadership, outdoor adventure and personal growth.

Community, compassion, and commitment came together on the fairways as Mākena Golf & Beach Club hosted one of its annual benefit golf tournaments in support of Maui Youth & Family Services and Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation is advising highway users to use caution and expect delays on Saturday, March 14, as the Valley to the Sea Half Marathon and associated races will run through Wailuku, Māʻalaea and Kīhei. Police will assist with traffic control.

The World Surf League released the schedule for the 2026/27 Challenger Series, as well as announcing the addition of a new category of events, the Qualifying Series 6,000 International. The Challenger Series, together with the new QS 6,000 International events, will provide the pathway to compete on the elite Championship Tour for the 2027 season. 

Registration is now open for the 2026 Moloka’i Channel World Championships, drawing over 1,000 elite paddlers from around the globe for two iconic 41-mile inter-island races — Nā Wāhine O Ke Kai on Sept. 27 and the Moloka’i Hoe on Oct. 11.

The Hawaiʻi State Junior Golf Association is now officially open for 2026 membership and registration for its Spring season. Junior golfers across Hawaiʻi are invited to join and take part in a competitive and educational tournament schedule designed to develop skills both on and off the course.
