Maui United Way golf tournament seeks support for its May 2 golf tournament
Maui United Way aims to tee up community support at its upcoming Golf Tournament set for Saturday, May 2. All proceeds from the tournament will support Maui United Way’s programs including disaster recovery efforts, youth services, and community resilience programs.

Golfing areas will be adjusted from April 13-16, 2026, while Waiehu Municipal Golf Course greens are aerated, according to the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation. The work is weather permitting.
Hawaiʻi launches first high school surfing state championship
The inaugural season will culminate in the state championship, scheduled for May 1-2 at Hoʻokipa Beach Park on Maui’s north shore. A total of 174 student-athletes will qualify for the championship meet, representing the top surfers from across the islands.

Mana O Maui opens Teen Camp scholarship applications
Mana O Maui is now accepting scholarship applications from girls between the ages of 13-17 to attend an upcoming Teen Surf Camp, hosted by Maui Surfer Girls, from June 27 to July 3, 2026. Mana O Maui is a nonprofit organization launched in 2023 to provide empowerment programs through Hawaiian cultural education, adventure education, surf therapy and the healing arts.
