Maui County Flood ADVISORY Cancellation

As of 4:15 p.m., on Thursday, November 3, all Flood Advisories for Maui have been cancelled.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for Maui until 4:15  p.m. on Thursday, November 3.

Heavy rains have been falling at one to three inches per hour along Haleakala Hwy between Hana and Haiku upslope to Makawao. The rainfall is steady, and there may be risk of flooding in areas on Maui until 4:15  p.m.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas, and are cautioned not to drive through fast-flowing or rising water on the road.

The advisory may be extended if heavy rain continues. Maui Country Civil Defense is currently monitoring the situation and will continue to issue updates as necessary.
