8 Maui Properties Included in Real Property Tax Auction

A property tax auction is planned on Maui next week that includes the planned sale of several properties, county officials said.

The properties included on the list have reportedly been delinquent for three or more years.

As of May 8, 2013, there were eight properties scheduled for auction; but county officials note that properties will be removed from the sale list if all taxes, penalties, interest and costs have been paid in full prior to the date of the sale.

At last check, an updated list of county records includes two units at the Harbor Lights condominium complex in Kahului, a home on Keoneloa Street in Wailuku, and a house lot at Wahikuli in West Maui.

The County of Maui, Department of Finance will hold the property tax auction on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. the Kīhei Community Center.  Doors open at 8:30 a.m.  The auction will continue on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 if necessary.
