In an announcement today, company officials said, “this partnership makes it possible for travelers to drive the famous Road to Hāna and fly back to Kahului Airport, or vice versa.”

One-way drop offs are reportedly available at both Kahului Airport and Travaasa Hāna  for an additional fee.

The rental car service comes on the heels of the reintroduction of regularly scheduled air service from Maui’s Kahului Airport to Hāna Airport late last year.

The 20-minute flight, which operates twice-daily in partnership between Travaasa Experiential Resorts and Mokulele Airlines, is the first scheduled air service to the Hāna community in more than a decade.

“With our recently introduced flights from Kahului to Hāna, this is the perfect addition to Travaasa Hāna’s offerings,” said Chris Manning, co-founder and president of Travaasa Experiential Resorts.

“Our guests will appreciate the convenience of renting a vehicle right on property for any day trips they’d like to take in and around Hāna. Or, they can do a fly and drive combination on the Road to Hāna,” said Manning in a statement today.

Vehicles may be booked exclusively through Travaasa Hana by calling (808) 248-8211.  According to the announcement, services are also available to non-hotel guests.
