Senator Brian Schatz will host a constituent call this afternoon to brief the public on the federal response to the molasses spill at Honolulu Harbor.
Schatz will be joined by representatives from the response agencies involved with the spill including officials with: the state Department of Health, the US Coast Guard, the US EPA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and personnel from the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
Crews from multiple agencies continue to monitor the after effects from the Sept. 9 incident in which more than 230,000 gallons of molasses spilled, reportedly killing thousands of fish and marine life.
