Two of the women were transported by ground ambulance to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition, while the third was Medevaced to the hospital, also in stable condition.

“Looking at how far the vehicle fell, firefighters at the scene said that it was remarkable that the women escaped serious injuries,” said Acting Maui Fire Services Officer Edward Taomoto.

According to department reports, the women, ranging in age from 20 to 25, had already been helped out of the vehicle by area residents, and were reported to be in good condition when firefighters from Nāpiliarrived on scene to assist.
