A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the Pailolo and ʻAlenuihāhā channels, as well as Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Northeast winds from 15 to 25 knots are expected with rough seas up to 11 feet.

Maui Surf Forecast

North: Surf expected up to waist/chest high (largest on the Hana side). Otherwise, spots that don’t catch trade swell will be pretty flat.

West: Knee/waist/chest high waves are expected today early on. Chest/shoulder high by sunset.

South: Waist/chest high waves are expected today early on. Best breaks could get shoulder/head high by sundown with sets a couple feet overhead.

A fun swell is expected to reach us out of the South Pacific building Friday and peaking on Saturday with a reinforcement right on its heels.

Out of the North Pacific conditions will be pretty flat with no significant swells on the horizon.

Trade swell it expected through the end of the work week in the waist/chest high range.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
