The Maui Memorial Medical Center hosted an open house for its Outpatient Clinic last week.

The facility, located at 85 Maui Lani Parkway in Wailuku is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The clinic currently houses specialty services in the following fields: General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Medical Oncology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic Surgery and Neurosurgery.

Providers include:

  • General Cardiology – Dr. Leslie Oberst
  • Interventional Cardiology – Dr. Colin Lee and Dr. Joseph Chambers
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery – Dr. Michal Dang and Dr. Tracy Dorheim
  • Gastroenterology – Dr. Robert Millan Dy and Dr. Rory O’Connor
  • Medical Oncology – Dr. Don Wilton Hill
  • Neurosurgery – Dr. David J. Engle
  • Orhtopedic Surgery – Dr. Douglas Ching

In addition to these medical services, the Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation introduced an assortment of artwork created locally.

The MMMCF featured the artwork in their newsletter saying, “Our Board was able to charm the blank walls with colorful canvases full of positivity.”

According to the foundation publication, featured items include a hand-carved prayer wheel that was placed in the lobby, as well as a hanging quilt and numerous paintings placed throughout the facility.

Artists with work currently on display include: Joan Davis, John Ensign, Dianna Grundhauser, Julie Houck, Elizabeth Keller, Ed Lane and Jim Powlan.

There’s also an interchangeable spot dedicated to high school art students.

The Maui Memorial Medical Center Outpatient Clinic provides patients with medical care, utilizing the latest in technology. The state-of-the-art clinic also provides much needed specialty emergency on-call services for the hospital and sees patients in the new clinic.
