La Galeria, a not-for-profit Filipino folk dance performing arts troupe, will host an open house on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, from noon to 2 p.m. at Luana Gardens’ community hall in Kahului.

Led by Lawrence Pascua, La Galería was formed to promote and perpetuate the Philippine cultural heritage through performance art.

The group is comprised of all volunteers, who provide education and entertainment to the Maui community, the Neighbor Islands and nationally.

The group is accepting new students (adults of all ages and children 9 and older); classes are offered at no charge.

“Merienda” (heavy pūpū) will be served at the open house. Tuloy po kayo (you are all welcome” to Luana Gardens, located at 615 West Papa Ave.
