West:  Wave heights thigh/chest high are expected today. Spots shadowed by other islands will be smaller.

South: The south-southwest is expected to bring knee/waist/chest high waves today. The best breaks could get up to shoulder high on the sets.

Screen Shot 2015-10-12 at 9.07.17 PMOur current north-northwest swell is expected to maintain through the middle of the week. Small west surf generated by Choi-Wan is mixing in Tuesday for exposures open to the swell. A reinforcing north-northwest fills in Wednesday, peaks late Wednesday and fades through Thursday.

Nora is forecast to bring some east-southeast swell to the Big Island Tuesday but Maui County will be heavily shadowed from any swell generated from this tropical system.

Our current south-southwest swell is expected to begin to fade Tuesday.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
