A new south-southwest continues Thursday and holds through Friday. A slightly bigger swell is expected for the weekend with a reinforcement on tap late in the weekend into early next week.

A short-lived northwest swell is for the weekend, building Saturday evening and holding through Sunday morning before beginning to fade.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
