West:  Wave heights waist/head high are expected today out of the south-southwest. Some wrap from the north-northwest may occur as well. Spots shadowed by other islands will be pretty flat.

South: The south-southwest is expected to bring chest/shoudler/head high waves today. The best breaks could get up to a bit overhead.

Our current south-southwest trends down as a slightly bigger swell builds through the day Saturday and will show for the weekend with a reinforcement on tap late in the weekend into early next week.

A short-lived northwest swell is for the weekend, building Saturday evening and holding through Sunday morning before beginning to fade.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
