South: Surf is around knee/waist high today. The best breaks could be a bit bigger from time to time.

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 9.41.34 PMSmall south-southwest pulses linger. Nothing significant through at least mid-month. Perhaps something will line up around the 16th.

Tropical system Ivette is not looking to send significant swell to the islands. Small swell will mix in Tuesday through Thursday. Omais (near Japan) and Javier (near Mexico) aren’t looking like wave makers for us.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
