Yoshida last spoke with her family on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m. from a payphone at fronting the Safeway store in Kahului.

According to police, the male depicted in the photo is a person of interest and may have information pertaining to the investigation. Authorities say he is possibly a visitor to Maui.

The allegations stem from an October 2, 2011 incident in which authorities say the three persons entered the Walmart store in Kahului and attempted to purchase items with a stolen credit card. According to authorities, the credit card was stolen from a Wailuku home.

Maui police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted on an active arrest warrant. 34-year-old Micah Buum is also wanted for questioning on other criminal investigations. He is described as a Caucasian male, 5-feet 10-inches tall, 160-pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Buum may be armed and should be considered dangerous. […]
