A new bill was signed into law that puts a cap on the number of Bed and Breakfast establishments allowed in various districts of Maui.  In signing the measure yesterday, Maui Mayor Charmaine Tavares said she appreciates the cooperative spirit in which the public, council and department staff worked together to address issues surrounding compliance and neighborhood impacts.  The new law also requires that guest parking be off-street and that quiet hours be maintained between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.
