HAWAII MARKS OPENING DAY OF 25TH LEGISLATURE

Today is opening day of the 25th Hawaii Legislative Session.  Ceremonies get underway at 10 a.m. in the House and Senate chambers.  Rep. Gilbert S.C. Keith-Agaran, who was appointed by the Governor after the passing of Maui Rep. Bob Nakasone, has been added to the directories, and Rep. Pono Chong has been named Housing (HSG) vice chair.  The senate program features an address and pule by Pono shim and Daniel Akaka Jr.  The Honorable Judge Ronald T.Y. Moon will administer the Oaths to new members, and entertainment will be provided by Willie K & the Honolulu Boy Choir under the direction of Mr. Kale Chang.  The House Program includes a chant by Anuenue School, and entertainment from Moanalua High School’s Chamber Orchestra & Nanakuli High & Intermediate’s Performing Arts Center.
