GRAND OPENING OF LONGS, PUKALANI

While other retailers are closing shop amid economic hardship, Longs Drug Store is bucking the trend-at least on Maui. A new Longs Drug Store at the Kulamalu Center in Pukalani opens its doors at 9 o’clock this morning with grand opening specials to mark the occasion. The store is promoting Made-on-Maui products including Roselani Ice Cream, Uncle Louie’s Portuguese Sausage, and POG from Haleakala Dairy. The 16,000-square-foot Upcountry site becomes the fourth full-sized store on Maui with other locations in Kahului, Kihei and Lahaina.
