Superferry Completes Maintenance and Inspection Voyages

The Hawaii Superferry announced today that the Alakai is resuming service between Oahu and Maui beginning February 18, 2009, as scheduled, after completing its annual maintenance inspection and U.S. Coast Guard re-certification process.

“We’re sailing on Wednesday,” said Hawaii Superferry President and CEO Tom Fargo. “The annual inspection went very smoothly, and we’re geared up to continue service for the people of Hawaii for 2009. Plus we plan to have a steady stream of special offers through the spring.”

Right now, customers have until February 18, 2009 to book the following offers for travel through August 31, 2009.

  • -Book round trip travel for 4 passengers + car and 2 of the passengers go FREE*
  • -Book round trip travel for 1 motorcycle + passenger and a 2nd motorcycle + passenger go FREE*
  • -Book round trip travel for 2 passengers and a 3rd passenger goes FREE*

The specials are available by calling 1-877-HI-FERRY (1-877-443-3779). They are not available through online booking.

Hawaii Superferry’s ship, the Alakai, seats up to 800 passengers and carries approximately 200 vehicles.
