Maui Invitational Music Festival’s Intermediate Brass Workshop
The annual Maui Invitational Music Festival,held during the months of June and July, features instrumental workshops, vocal clinics, concerts and jam sessions. Presented by the nonprofit Arts Education for Children Group, the Festival was created to provide opportunities for students to study and play alongside accomplished instructors. Classes, clinics, and workshops are open to musicians and vocalists of all ages are are separated by skill level. This year’s schedule inlcudes a wide variety of presentations – from Hawaiian and African musical traditions to Hip Hop and Hot Club to playing brass instruments and symphonies. June 10-12 Intermediate Brass Workshop LP Studio’s music director Tony Wheeler hosts an extensive program for individuals and groups by elaborating on intermediate level techniques with multiple key scales for both major andminor, pitch relativity, sight reading, introduction into solo and improvisation, harmony of voices, intermediate warm-ups, reading music with intermediate level theory.

Age level for participants: 10 to adult
