A 17-year-veteran of the Maui police department turned himself in on Monday following an Information Charging Arrest Warrant.  39-year-old officer Ryan Masada was released from the Wailuku Police Station without incident after posting $10,000 bail.  The counts in the warrant include Promotion of a Dangerous Drug in the 3rd Degree and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia.

Authorities say Masada was assigned to the Wailuku Patrol Division prior to the indictment, but has since been re-assigned to Administrative Duty within the Department.  The case is pending prosecution.
