The Lahainaluna High School Foundation helps to keep the spirit, history and tradition of Lahainaluna High School alive through its fundraising efforts. Lahainaluna is recognized as the oldest school west of the rockies. The school earned recognition this year for several of its top athletic programs and talented athletes.
Featured for the first time in this year’s parade was Maui’s new professional baseball team, Na Koa Ikaika. The Maui team played their debut home game on Wednesday, defeating the Tijuana Cimarrones 4-3 in 15 innings at Wailuku’s Iron Maehara Baseball stadium.
