Maui police say the man who died following a single-car accident in Kihei on Monday did not die of injuries sustained in the crash, and was wearing his seatbelt.

According to police reports, Terry Eoff, 58, of Kihei, was driving a vehicle that overturned on Kilohana Drive at around 5:51 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010.

Eoff was driving a 2006 Suzuki four-door sedan that was headed east on the roadway, when the vehicle veered, colliding with a raised curb and stuck the support wire of a utility pole before overturning.  Eoff was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center where he later died.
